Two weddingnights....who can say no to that....:p

The fact is that I can't desied whats most romantic.
It's legal by Norwegian law to marry twice with the same person, so thats not a problem. So why not do both?

When we develop we will celebrate our union all by ourself on a romantic beach or somewhere els where it's beautiful and romantic.

But we also want to share our happiness with our families and friends. And I've always dreamed of a church wedding.

I've talked about this with my boyfriend (we have been together for almost 6 years) and he likes the idea.

You can sort of say that we take the honeymoon before the wedding:D

Luxor was great! Went to see the Valleys of king, where all the graves are as well.

The town is devided by the Nile and on one side you have the mountains and valleys and there you see how many egyptians live. Picture farming without machines, towns where the houses are made of clay etc. then you got the picture. On the other side of the Nile, you have the town Luxor. Lots of temples, museums, great market place and very very nice people. They have lots of horse carriages instead of taxi, try that if you go! I stayed in a hotel with a terrace overlooking the Nile. It was so beautifull and the staff was very friendly.

If you go and want to see it all, then you will need at least 3 days or more. When I booked my travel, many agencies only have 2 days in Luxor and you see the Karnak temple, Luxor temple and the valleys in a hurry. Thats a shame! I was SO pleased to have many days there and got to go visit our guides family in their house. People are very friendly there, all you have to do is to ask, and they will help you in any way they can.

I came to Luxor after having spend days in Cairo. And what a blessing! Luxor is a small, friendly and green town.
I went before the high season for tourits and just after the ramadahn. Make sure you dont go when they are having their ramadahn. (ramadahn=religious faste they have each year, the dates changes each year).

1. Publish some of my books.
2. For someone to read one of my books and want to believe it's real.
3. To go to Europe.
4. To go to Egypt, at a time when it's reasonably safe to travel to the mid-east.
5. Learn to speak at least two languages.
6. Build a three-story house...and live in it, of course.
7. Own a large personal library.
8. Marry the man-or-woman of my dreams.
9. Spend the night in a haunted castle.
10. Get over this awful cough I have.

1000 Places to See Before You Die by Patricia Schultz is an excellent book, makes a great gift. I have 994 to go!

Ahhh, but that's why I mentioned the trip to Havana.:) It looks as if it might be happening sooner than I expected. I hope to outlive old Fidel.;)
 
Apparently, almost everything important in life is connected to ancient artifacts... :D Here's my list:

1. Be happy in my everyday life. Harder than it sounds.
2. Stand on a hill in a storm. No better way to feel alive.
3. Be insanely in love (not sure it's possible, but still ;))
4. Do adult things (you pick) under the stars.
 
My list changes so much, but I'll give it a go. :) (I've been working on this on and off since this topic was created.)

1. Visit Japan.
2. Go see Chicago on stage (might be able to do this next easter :D).
3. Work in a library or bookshop (failed at getting one in a library, but I've just finished filling an application for a Saturday job at my local Ottakar's).
4. See Garbage in concert.
5. Go to University (completing a course would be a bonus :p).
6. Go to an anime convention.
7. See a live stand up show. (Ross Noble is playing in Glasgow and me and my boyfriend are thinking about getting tickets.)
8. Visit an art gallery (preferabally one I can cover in less than a day).
9. Create a painting (or perhaps sculpture) I can be proud of.
10. Learn to use my sewing machine like a pro. :D

As you can see, I've tried to be realistic... most are creative and cultural things and don't involve much travel like the rest of you. :p
 
I am checking off two points right now!
# Learn an instrument. (The guitar. I still don't like chords that require four left-hand fingers in different places, but I'm getting there...)
# Write a novel. (Proof-reading busily. Wrote it with my cousin, but it so counts!!) (Am somewhere between 1/4 or 3/4 through the first I'm writing on my own... :rolleyes: )

And then, like everyone else, there are the "visit..." bits: Florence, Venice, Ireland.

...Oh, and I hope Mum will let me try to make the chocolate/whisky-parfait cake for her birthday in september! :D

1. Live for a couple of months in Paris, Montmartre district to write and paint.
2. Hike from Slovenia through the Alps to Monaco, (about four months).
3. The Way of Saint James pilgrimage in Spain.
4. Sail around the Caribian in a small sailing ship.
5. Hike from Cusco to Machu Picchu.
6. Summer in a lakeside cabin in northern Michigan to fish and relax.
7. Spend a couple of weeks Kayaking Minnesota’s lakes.
8. Study chess enough to be a master.
9. Run the Boston marathon.
10. Live in an alpine village in Switzerland.

Many more…

This I agree with, it's an amazing experience. You catch a heck of a cold afterwards though :) .

You know, if you wanted to make a trial run, to get it perfect for your mum, I'd be more than happy to help you out - not that i like chocolate or the smell of whiskey or anything like that - just you know, out of the goodness of my heart I would taste it for you :D

Oh, that's so sweet of you! :D The positively only reason I haven't tried it out already is that the recipe is for 15-16 people, and since it's parfait you have to eat it all at once... So you have to have a big party, and get it right first time. Of course, I could make it all for me... Hmm, actually... :rolleyes: :D

Well. I found the secret lemon tree at work last friday. I finally convinced the wind tunnel guys in my building to give me a personal tour of the tunnel, and at the end one of them showed me the secret lemon tree in the secret courtyard and helped me pick lemons with the secret lemon picker tool. I'll admit I was very excited to find there was a secret lemon tree, with free lemons, growing less than 10 yards from my desk and I never knew about it. So, I want to keep finding secret lemon trees, which is short hand for making a list of the fabulous unknown that I want to discover/do before I die.

Lemon trees are beautiful but some of the lemons can be a little too sour :(

eating alone isn't very healthy, in fact did you know that the healthiest thing to do, is to send a large chunk of cake to an over enthusiastic person from an internet forum. No really it's true, it's a scientific fact.

Sounds like quite a recipe, I'm sure you'll get it right first time :) .
