Other forums?

Ah, well, I'm glad I didn't waste my time then. It seemed like a really interesting premise. It's too bad it didn't pan out.

There's better tools out there but, as with all better things, it takes more time to learn them.

What other forums do you visit?

Besides book & reader, what other furum(s) do you visit online? For me it is the DT forum (link below) and a forum about my favorite team the Miami Dolphins.

I visit Literaryforums.org, a friendly little forum I find very cozy. Then there's Palimpsest, where I lurk like mad - this is good for my booklist. I'm also an occasional at fiddlefork, for fiddlers as you might guess, and at the picture framers' grumble.

There are a couple more that are even less frequent, a crochet forum and an art forum where I'm actually registered but can't figure out how to post scans and photos:rolleyes: . But since I have only one lifetime...I'll stick with the above list for now.:)

This is the only book forum I visit, but I do visit a few on other subjects. My favourite forum is a little games walkthrough and help site called Walkthroughs from the-geek but it is currently down at the moment because of a recurring hacker problem. :( It *should* be back up soon though.
I also visit a craft forum called Craftster and... and... well there were more but I either can't remember or I've not visited them in a while...

Whats a Palimpsest?

Ooh, more book forums to get all excited about...

Everyone lurks at Palimpsest! ;)

I visit beliefnet and internet infidels, for lurking. And am a member of a couple of MSN groups: one reading, one writing and two spirituality based.

Also post at running and rambling groups, and a health and fitness forum, and a Tori Amos forum less often. And the forums of sites like opendiary and last.fm

And then there's forums belonging to members here: Stewart's Talk Cinema and Talk History, CDA's Fallout Shelter and Moto's Hell Hole.

But of course, I thought it was obligatory (the Martin Amis thread is a favourite lurking spot).

I'm a member at way too many forums, but I'm currently making the effort to cut down, so I only post here, the Fallout Shelter and the Hellhole. Most of the forums I've cut down from are politics/religion based ones; after a while they get boring - you begin to immediately recognise which member is going to have what opinion on each new topic.

I frequent a couple of quilting forums and The Hell Hole. Although I haven't been on THH much lately since it seems to make my computer freak out.

I'm only here and CDA's Fallout Shelter. But lately my participation has waned, esp in the Fallout Shelter, which I hope to rectify soon. TBF/BAR has a lot of value to me, having posted so many thoughts here, and the Shelter helped me, and therefore has a special place in my heart.

There are a couple more that I wouldn't mind spending more time on, but as it is I have barely enough time to log in after work at night to read, much less post. :)
