HELP- does anyone know the proper pronounciation of this W&P Character?

This is difficult being written not spoken but I was wondering, If you have read 'War and Peace' or just have a knowledge of these certain types of things, whether you could help me with the precise pronounciation of this characters name.

The Character is Princess Marya, and here name appears in that way.

I thought it might be pronounced these different ways:

Like Maria- ma-ree-a
Or like this mah-ry-AH
Or perhaps mary with an a on the end so mair-ry-a

Some of her shortened names might help she is also refered to as Masha and Marie.

If the character Marya is Polish, the the pronunciation is like Maria- ma-ree-a. That's my answer.

well, in russian it would be ma-ree-ya.

I would have to agree it is pronounced ma-ree-a. If the character were English than it would be ma-ry-ha.

Yeh I think it must be close to maria in some way as they call her marie. I like it though. Im going for Marya with an russian accent so that it sounds more marh-ry-ah.
