Ani DiFranco

I like DiFranco, but I've only got one album by her: Dilate. While it's good, I found that it dragged towards the end, especially that awful rendition of Amazing Grace.

I like Ani, but for now I only have Out of Range... on cassette. :D I downloaded some of her other tunes.

What did you think of her album with Utah Phillips?
 
I ADORE Utah, I saw him this weekend too! It was the Regina Folk Festival (oldest fest in Western Canada). Ani has been one of my favourite musicians since I was 15, so to finally see her live was a HUGE milestone.
 
I'm a big fan of Ms. DiFranco's music myself. I am quite jealous that you've gotten to see her live.

Let's see, I really adore the new album 'Reprieve', every song on that is a gem, but then again all of her work is. My favourite Ani album of all time would have to be 'Not a Pretty Girl' or even 'Living in Clip' because I love live albums.

What was the set list like at the show? Did she play a lot of stuff off of Reprieve?
 
Um.. there was a lot of new stuff. She also played Swan Dive, Coming Up, Shamless (!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) Evolve, she opened with God's Country (fitting seeing as I live in the Canadian prairies) I can't really remember much else. She just had a baby though!
