Have anyone of you read the Adversary Cycle and/or the Repairman Jack series by F. Paul Wilson? I have the Adversary Cycle series penciled in on my reading list. Is it a good series? Thanks!

I have yet to read Adversary Cycle , but I spent some time with F. Paul Wilson at a writers boot camp last January. Interesting guy.

The Adversary Cycle is decent. Repairman Jack is the greatest character there is. I am obsessed. Just absolutely entertaining. You will enjoy.

Well, I've read one of his short story - called Soft. I remember liking it - macabre.

It was about this guy and his daughter who lived at a time when the world was overrun by an incurable desease which dissolves the victim's bone into soft tissues. This desease can strike anyone without warning, takes effect immediately, and can affect any part of the body (both the protagonist and his daughter has gone 'soft' from the lower part of the body down). Basically a 'post-apocalyptic' scenario. As far as he knows there were only his daughter, himself, and one other chap who is seemingly unaffected by it living in their neighbourhood.

Whew. Didn't mean to type so much.

Haven't read that. Sounds really interesting. Check out Repairman Jack's first book. It was called The Tomb but it's the Last Rakosh now. It is the worst in the series(by no means is it bad) but you need to start with it. I would also recommend The Touch. Really good book. Very touching

Midnight Mass is Wilson's vampire novel. No romantic vampires. They are really nasty. Great book if you like horror.
