Welcome to the forum. Just curious, have you read any of the recent books about the military effort in Iraq and Afghanistan? Were you serving over there?

I ask because I lived in Saudi Arabia for a few years, in the 1970s, so I'm fascinated by non-fiction about that part of the world. I recently read Robin Moore's The Hunt for Bin Laden, which I really enjoyed.

I was over in Iraq for about 7 months. I haven't read any of the stuff on the GWOT, although I read Jarhead, and was suprised at how whiny Swafford came across.
