Any favorite time or throughout the day? Early morning doesn't work for me as I like to peruse the net for online news and get ready for work. I have a routine and like to be at work super early, at least an hour before "go" time. In regards to weekends, the afternoon or early evening don't work out so well as I'm busy with the family and doing various chores and what not. Late night is my personal reading time, things quiet down and I have some solitude to really get into a book. 9:00 p.m.-midnight is perfect time for me, though I often times don't go past 11:30 p.m. as I'm tired.

How about you?

I don't have any set time for reading. When I feel like picking up the book, that's when I read.

I'll read any time, although I read a lot in the bathtub. I don't know why I do that, but I've heard Ben Franklin wrote in the bathtub, which seems a lot stranger--not to mention more difficult.

Well, I put "any time" as I will sneak it in when I can. I did, however, find your choices decidingly lacking. There was no choice for "I was up until 5AM reading last night". I would have picked that one in a second, as it is true (Mr Mehastings came home at 9AM and I had to tell him I was sick last night and the kid was crying to rationalize how tired I was  ).

I will read at any time, but selected late night, since that is when I most often have the opportunity.

I read anytime I get the chance usually. Although I try to read a little before I go to bed everynight. And I too read in the bathtub a lot.

I will read anytime, but I usually read the most in the evening. In the morning I'm too tired; During the day is school; At night is my computer/family/television time. I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who reads in the bath though.

Although I like to read whenever I can, the evening is my preferred time to read. It's quiet and no one is demanding my attention during that time so it's more me-time.

As for me, early in the morning and late at night. Just after waking up and just before sleeping. Surrounding would be quiet, so it's very conducive for my reading. I wouldn't be able to concentrate if I have some little time to spare in between doing things.

when I read

Three kids, a full-time job and a DH all demand time away from reading - so I've developed the habit of ALWAYS having my book with me and if I have to wait outside hockey practice or anywhere else - I pick up my book! I also try to get my DH to drive so I can read some more pages in the car (luckily don't get car sick), plus at night. So - anytime, anywhere as long as I get an opportunity!:)

I read anytime, but I usually don't read during the morning commute to work, as I am usually falling asleep during my bus trip to work, but usually read during my breaks and on my way home from work :) I might read during the evening, but thats pretty rare.

I read whenever I can, or whenever I feel like, but I don't read in the early mornings. I never feel like reading in the early mornings. I would like to read a scary book at night between 10-12, but I'm not allowed.

~Midnight~

I read, when I'm cooking dinner, eating dinner, waiting for my computer to load, when my daughter is watching her Dora the explorer DVD's, and when I go to bed! oh and in the bath too, and I've never dropped my book in it, but have had soggy corners!

Hate that! Happens to me whenever I go to the beach or pool. I solved it by getting waterproof books. I've only found two so far, and they were both erotica, but I'm hoping for more (preferably mainstream fiction) soon.

I didn't know you could get waterproof books!

Ooh, erotica and waterproof, how strange that they would make such books wipe clean!

I think the intent is to be able to take them in the bath with ahem..soap and stuff..

I do wish there was something else that came in waterproof. Perhaps one of those thousand page Robert Jordan novels being discussed. It would certainly last me a bit longer than the other two books did. I just can't get into reading that stuff over and over, so once the book is done, it is done.

I read on my way to university cause it's a bit of a long sub ride. But the main reading happens before i go to bed. That's always late night.

In the morning going to work; in the afternoon during lunch break; at night going back home. Mostly I read in public transportations. When I have a day off I feel too lazy to read.

I don't really mind when I read, but lately I've been finding that I only have time to read at late night, just before I go to sleep.
