Earlier Iposted my goal of 160 thousand and about 2 weeks ago I finally broke one thousand after about 3 months short of a year of collecting and today I have 1071 books in my collection. I'm beyond happiness, I'm ecstatic, and undeniably so.
 
Wow, Stewart, that's a lot of books there! :D

I didn't know Mark Z. Danielewski had another book out (I'd only heard of House of Leaves)! I see you have the His Dark Materials trilogy too. That's a book that keeps popping up lately, and one that I'm determined to read sooner rather than later.
 
hey Stewart did you get all those Penguin books in collections or you just accumulated them one by one??

so yeah...that's what I'm working with. I wish I could say I've read at least half of all those books but...that's just not the case...get it? case? *dorkness*:cool:
 
I have never actually counted my books, but I have two bookcases, one built-in floor to ceiling with 7 shelves and another, smaller, though still with 5 shelves, free-standing case. They are not organised in any way other than the free-standing case is full of books I read for Uni and the other is full of 'pleasure' books. Having moved so many times in the past few years I can tell you first-hand just how horrible it is to move a pretty big book collection!

I have read every book we have in the house and I have resorted to visiting the rather pathetic local library. I think it's about time to find a used book shop, or have a look at eBay again!
 
Here is a small fraction of my book library. I am the messy type so the complete collection is scattered about in different areas of my room. Enjoy!

wow:eek: :eek: :eek: ...i think it would be near impossible (if not just frustrating) for me to try and find the same publisher for all those books one by one...WOWZAZZZ.
 
RAC42!!!! OH MY WORD!!!!! HOKIE DOODLE!!!! *sniffs* I'm gonna start crying now as that is so beautiful...wow...your so lucky! Maybe I shouldn't look at these pictures as they make me turn all shades of the rainbow with ENVY...*sighs*
 
Thanks guys, I can't take all the credit though, my wife put the shelves up, I just put the books on them. :)
 
Exactly...look at all those books...Its so funny though; my nose was practically against the screen, trying to read the titles and my mom comes down and just STARES...welll...I really can't help it! Noticed that you have The Lord of the Rings, The Chronicles of Narnia and CS Lewis's space trilogy all in one book :D...oh, and I couldn't see very well, but are there a couple by Frank Peretti?
 
Yup, good eyes. I have read all the Narnia books at least 5 times now and the Space trilogy twice. I also have his "til we have faces" - pretty good.

There are 3 Peretti books there - "The Oath", "This Present Darkess" & "Piercing The Darkness"
