Just wondering how you are planning getting your final copy: have you already pre-ordered your copy or are you going to go to the store the day of the release to get your copy?

I've pre-ordered my copy and have made sure that its delivered to my house, as I am not sure where I am going to be the day that the book is released; I could be at home or I could be up at my parents place near Kamloops on the day of the release and I have no intention of braving the crowds at the store; apparently Canada Post will have it at my house on the day of the release; I hope that is the case.

Apparently I won't be getting it the day of, but probably the Monday after it is released. I hope I can get down by the end of the week so I can pick up my copy; all is dependent on when my family shows up at the house at Sun Peaks. maybe I can take a trip down on Monday and pick it up on Tuesday and come back the next day.

More than half of the people I asked say they have not actually READ the book...they just collect them to show off to friends. Hmm.

Wow. That is the most bizarre thing I've ever heard. Who does that? I suppose I could understand the complete works of Shakespear in leather-bound editions, but Harry Potter? To show off? Perhaps if you had it a week early, it might be worth showing off, otherwise, give me a break.

To be honest, I've lost interest in the whole thing. The next book I mean, not the Potterverse in general. The wait has been far too long, especially as the bulk of the readers of the last book are (I assume) older adolescents who have simply hung around to 'see what happens' (Put me in that category too EDIT: minus the adolescent part).

I will read it, probably pick it up after a couple of weeks if the prices drop. I really don't care if someone gives away the ending - I've read enough fan fiction and seen the movies too many times to even remember what has happened so far, canon-wise.

She has said in interviews that she would invite Harry, Ron and Hermione to dinner, she then struggled a bit and said, she knew who was dead and could she invite dead characters so..... and Harry being one of the Horcruxes, well that was revealed as a possibility in book one!!

Is it just me, or did it seem that at Dumbledore's murder that Draco had no real sense of himself? I keep thinking that there's going to be some quick "redemption," scene for him, and he's going to end up dying.

I'm sure that this is most likely not true, as Rowling has portrayed him in the evil lime light throughout all the novels, but I still can't...quite...shake the feeling.

Ah, hell, we all know that it's Dobby who's going to die.

I'm waiting for the library to add it to their system. Don't own any other editions so don't see the point in buying this one. Have always thought I might treat myself to a boxset when they are all out. But may have to buy it if the library deosn't get it....

Yay! Just that little ray of hope (it having been praised) makes me think that maybe it shan't be quite so fanfiction-esque. Hurrah! ::avoids the link, though::

Well, the only thing that may bother people is the review tells what the Deathly Hallows are, and I have to say, they sound exceptionally cool...but I won't go into that. All I can say is that even with just a few hours until release I'm craving for the book like a junky does crack.

*Just one more day! SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!*
