How And Where Do You Read?

Hello Everyone :)

By where you read I mean do you sit in a chair, lay down on the couch, crawl into bed or have no favorite place?

By 'how' I mean do you hold your book, rest it on your lap or knees, read it under the covers?

I am bedridden and cannot hold books ... I use a book rest which works perfectly for me.

Sitting on my bed or chair in my room or in the backyard(sometimes in the dead of night too so I can enjoy the fresh cool air).

Mostly read at work during long night shifts with the book on my lap.
At home I mostly read in bed. :)

At the moment, outside, on a sun lounger in the garden, or on a char in the summerhouse.

Indoors on my reading chair, which is a huge comfortable armchair, situated next to one of my bookcases, near to the fireplace.

I can't read in bed at all, but I do sometimes read magazines in the bath.

Usually sitting at the kitchen table so I can keep an eye on what kids are up to. Sometimes on the sofa with my feet up. Rarely in bed because I just fall asleep and don't get any reading done.

I recline on the couch, with a pillow on my tummy because I'm too lazy to hold the book up with my very own arms. The pillow also protects me from my cat, who likes to curl up on my stomach when I'm reclining. This wouldn't be so bad if she didn't have to knead me, first.

In excellent weather, I'll sit in a beach chair beneath the tree in the front yard.

Good question:)

I usually read while I'm on my way to work, so basically I read on the train.

At home...
In the kitchen - while I'm making dinner
In the living-room (sofa) - sometimes at night
In the bedroom - rarely... I tend to fall asleep as soon as I hit the pillow:rolleyes:

Everywhere but rarely while standing unless I am in a long line and happen to have a book with me.

Now that I think about it, I don't usually rest it on my lap.

Wherever I happen to be breathing. Really, I'm adaptable. Some favorite places include my bed, the tub, my recliner in the living room, and in one of the Adirondack chairs on the porch-once I shoo away the dog and scoop up a kitten to sit on my lap for company.

In bed definitely. I'm usually on the bed if I'm reading in fact....Also on the bus. There are some perks to not driving.

These days, I mostly read on the bus before, and after work. I also quite like to read while walking... I know I shouldn't, but I've been doing it for years, especially when I'm engrossed in a book.
:p

I read in bed, on my couch, on the living room couch, or in the car (not while I'm driving, though). I have also been known to read while walking, but I don't walk much anymore.

I read everywhere. When I worked I always read on the bus on my way there and back and at lunch time while I ate. Now I mostly do it on my favorite chair out the back, in bed and in the bathroom... one of the reasons why I do not borrow or lend books... :D
