Hey! so I've been looking for a good book to buy but I'm not so sure what to buy and there's a few books that seems good. Which one have you read and which one is the best book and that you would suggest? thanks a lot in advance. :)

1. The Darkangel by Ann Meredith Pierce

2. a) Stardust by Neil Gaiman (I know there's a movie on it but I'd like to probably read the book first)
b) Coraline (Neil Gaiman)

3. a)Uglies by Scott Westerfield
b) The last days (Scott Westerfield)

4. Masquerade by Melissa De La Cruz

5. The vampire Diairies-The awakening & the struggle by L.J. Smith

6. Dangerous Girls by RL Stine

7. Surrender by Sonya Hartnett

8. The secret Countess by Eva Ibotson/FONT]
 
Coraline was a great read. I haven't read Stardust, but the movie was terrific, and I loved Anansi Boys, and enjoyed American Gods.. so Stardust as a book has good potential.

Eva Ibbotson is such a good writer, and well loved at my house, so I'm looking forward to The Secret Contess. Her books are great fun.
 
Thanks Abeceda rian for your advice. I'll surely buy Stardust, Coraline and I'll probably buy one of Eva Ibottson's book as well. :)

Wow I loved RL Stine as a kid I wonder if there is anything of his i haven't read would love to check it out.

In my opinion Coraline was absolutely terrible. The story didn't flow smoothly and Gaiman half-hearted attempt at a surreal horror environment really didn't work.

Atleast this is my opinion.
 
Stardust by Neil Gaiman is a nice read...Although the earlier part is quite dragging and you might be tempted to put it down and stop.

However, have some patience and you will be rewarded when you reach the middle part.
