your favorite booze?

My favourite, these days, is Gin. With bitter lemon, or tonic water. The reason is because I went to Menorca in September and fell in love with their gin. I think it's a sign that I'm getting old, because I detested gin as a teenager.

Others: Schnapps - apple, or something. Peach if there's nothing else. Bailey's Irish Cream, and this even-more-delicious one from Scotland, that I've forgotten the name of. If I don't have any of those, I mix vodka with chocolate milk.

Pear cider is okay. As is vodka and coke, brandy and coke, rum and coke, etc. Very occasionally, wine. But it's usually the company that decides whether or not I should drink wine, not the taste.

Guinness is okay. I used to drink that at college, mainly as a dare.

But I don't drink very often, really.

Might that be Glava - a seriously tasty whiskey liqueur? I rarely drink whiskey, but brought some back from a visit to husband's family in Canada and have been searching the Carolinas for it ever since. Haven't found it yet - so summer trip to Ontario for sure!

Ooh, never heard of Glava, I don't think. But I would definitely try some if I happened to see any anywhere.

Hope you find it!

It's Glayva.

y, Stewart? y pick on me? :( I know it's Glayva, but I must claim tax return preparation season fatigue for my lack of attention to such an important detail .... be hard to find asking for the wrong stuff!

Actually, I've such a fried brain at this point (the US tax season ends April 15th - how about Inland Revenue deadlines in the UK?) that I should just lurk and not post anywhere. Shouldn't be driving either - and a bit of alcohol would probably help that!

Ratio - 1:2:3:1

Ingeredients - Vodka:Beer:OJ:Red colored Gatorade

I used to love screwdrivers. Now I twisted it a bit. It's pretty sweet.
Sometimes it wastes the beer.
But I feel better after drinking it! :D

I hate gin. Disgusting. Enjoy your disgusting drink.

Vodka for me. All kinds of vodka. Cheap, expensive, cold, warm, etc. In drinks or by itself. It's so good, I'll even use sentence fragments for it. So good.

That would be Heather Cream.

I'd love to try that. I haven't seen it at my local LCBO and I've tried most of their cream liqueurs. I've never tried vodka and chocolate milk, but Bailey's and chocolate milk is to die for! Heaven in a glass.

It [Heather Cream] is delicious! Oh, and as is Bailey's and chocolate milk, or any milk, in fact.

Bailey's and Creme de Menthe, too. Tastes like Peppermint Aero.

Bailey's, Kahlua and Amaretto is lovely, too.

I love a nice gin & tonic when it's hot outside. My only problem is with the tonic water because it's sweetened with high fructose corn syrup so I try and buy the stuff sweetened with sucralose (Splenda).

I recently found out about these three high end tonics. Sadly none are available in the immediate area so I will have to either look in Charlottesville or order it online.

Fever-Tree Premium (from the UK) is sweetened with pure cane sugar. http://www.fever-tree.com

Stirrings triple filtered tonic water (Massachustets) is also sweetened with pure cane sugar. http://www.stirrings.com/sodastonic.php

Q premium tonic water is sweetened with agave nectar. http://qtonicwater.com/
