Usernames!!!! How did you get yours?

Chewbecca was my nickname in college (shortened to Chewie after a while) and I went to Virginia Tech (hence the VT). The ChE is written because I am a chemical engineer, or at least was in my previous career. I've been using some form of this screen name since the late 90's on ICQ and the like.

You went to Tech? Do you still live in Virginia? What years were you there? I have numerous friends and family members that are Hokies. I went to VCU myself and have always been a Wahoo fan, but don't hold that against me.;)

Started in 1997 and graduated in 2001. I live in the Shenandoah Valley in Virginia. I've lived a lot of different places in Virginia, but never out of state. My husband and I finally bought a house and settled down.

I will do my best not to hold the wahoo thing against you ;)

I use two names no wait three. The one I most commonly use is KinkedSlinky. I find it funny because I'm calling myself useless.

YellowNinja is another. If I were a ninja I would always wear yellow so thats were that came from.

Moon_Shadow I actually stole from some one on a role playing forum. It sounded cool so I used it for a short time.

I remember another one. YellowDart22. Yellow Dart was my nick name in 7th grade and then shortened to just Dart. It stuck through most of high school. And 2 happens to be my favorite number and why not have 2 of my favorite number to make it twice as awesome!!!

I was really into shakespeare one day and decided to mix up something like that.. and then i thought.. what could i make up from the word shakespeare... and walah! pearshaker :p

I thought sparkchaser was shakespear anagram when I first saw it

Helgi is a character from A Day Well Spent

Tyche, is a goddess of fortune and prosperity and also means 'luck' in greek. I came across it when I was looking on the net for a name for my cat, I liked it so much I used it for me and named my cat after another god :) I presumed it was pronounced similar to Psyche, but recently I have read that it may be Tee-chee  Anyone else know if this is correct?

Tie-kee is the pronunciation that I have heard. I looked them up on encyclopedia.com and it shows tiy-kee or tiy-kay.

English speakers pronounce "Psyche" wrong as well. That whole vowel-shift thing really messed you up. ;) Beerwench is correct, AFAIK.

Thx BeerWench13, I really have no idea how to read those pronunciation guides. Tie-kee is how I have been pronuncing it, so got a bit confused when I saw it suggested otherwise.

thx as well, although your whole vowel-shifting link messed me up even more!! hmmmm I don't feel stupid

TS Eliot and Iain M Banks. Wanted something suitably neutral and obscure.
But with hindsight a bit gorey -

Phlebas the Phoenician, a fortnight dead,
Forgot the cry of gulls, and the deep sea swell
And the profit and loss.
