Dinner with a Character

If you could dine with any literary character, who would it be?

Personally I think Holden Caulfield would be interesting. But then again Mr. Darcy has always had a soft spot in my heart!

Captain Nemo for sure. He's such a mysterious character, I could never get enough of him!

What an interesting idea!! There are so many characters I would like to have dinner with. Now, the first that comes to my mind is Miss Kenton in Kazuo Ishiguro's The Remains of the DayThat would be a neatly arranged dinner if Stevens, the butler, was invited too.:)

That's a tough question !
Harry Potter just to spank his little butt ?

Just kidding, I'd rather meet with the author then his character but that wasn't the question. :)
So I'm going with one of the characters of my favorite writer and inspiration Kurt Tucholsky's in Castle Gripsholm.

Bertha from Jane Eyre. I mean sure things at dinner maybe a little weird and tense, but what better way to develop an understanding of a mysterious character than to have a chat over dinner.

Excellent choice, I'd like to have dinner with her as well because I don't trust old Mr. Rochester!

I would have to say Scarlett O'Hara to have a heart to heart with her about Rhett and Ashley and shake her a few times.

Definitely Win from the Bolitar novels! (Yay Coben fans!)

Ah, who am I kidding... any character, I guess. Gotta be the best way to gather ideas!

How nice to meet a fellow Tucho fan... I don't meet too many of those these days.

Would you want to have that dinner with him or her?

He'd tell you, he loves them, every one of them. In spite of all they get up to. Which is the kind of thing I always find a bit awkward to answer.

Christ always did have a way of answering a question without really answering it.

Gatsby,i would have to borrow a jacket though.

The familly of Kitty in Anna Karenina sound like very warm and untertaining people.

Gosh, this is difficult..of course Mr. Darcy is a bit tempting. But I'd love to meet one of the characters from the works of my favorite author, Dumas. I think I would choose Bussy, simply because in the book he's so perfect, and I would like to see how that's possible. And of course, Scarlett O'Hara is interesting too...it's too hard to choose!
