I just read the first one, despite my fears of clowns (because I believe Ryuk looks like one. He has the creepy eyes and the lips that look painted and red.) Every time I saw his picture I shuddered, so I'm surprised that I didn't pull a back muscle.

Hermione, you said you were having an AP history exam soon? Is it in American history? I have one in that coming up and I'm so nervous about it.

Number 9 and 10 are out already, but they aren't as good..in fact, they get worse, with 10 being the worst so far. They start getting drastically worse after 7.

No, my AP exam is for european history. And I"m really interested in european history, but there's just so much of it, that I can't really learn it all in a year, let alone a few weeks. ANd i really want to read all those books I bought one European history, but really don't have the time.

Back to deathnote: apart from Ryuk, did you enjoy the manga? #11 is coming out in May, so I'm quite excited, but I have to wait until july for #12(the last one) and I won't be here until two weeks later for Harry Potter.

I now have all of the Death Notes out. Vesp is on number...4 I think. I want the next one already. I actually liked number 10 a bit, with the new character and all. He has cool hair.

Yes, I am addicted, even with Ryuk. I am also on number 8. I really do hate how it's going already, just from the end of 7.

Did anyone else notice that L's successors, Mello and Near, will probably be M and N? What happens when they reach the end of the alphabet? Do they start over? Hmm...I wonder. I also wonder what L's real name was, since it seems it would probably start with L. Does it mention that later on?

So you're sure there's only gonna be 12? That's sad, because they are really good. But the last ones are really ruining the series. So sad.

Poor Light. He's gone all evil. He uses people just like he said he wouldn't. The ending will probably end in him using the notebook to kill himself so that he can quit being so evil. Or maybe he'll just start a force of anarchy. Either way, it kinda sucks.

I don't think he'll kill himself, I thinmk he'll die in some other way-that's why there'll be only twelve. And i think you find out L's name later on. And i'm pretty sure you keep going through the alphabet and then start over-although that might take a while, not all of them get .

I read the first eight. One through seven were pretty good, but I'm disappointed with the latest developments. I think I'll read the rest eventually, but when I start buying them I'll only buy the first seven.

I'm trying to get my hands on the movie. No such luck yet...

I was just wondering. I really don't know what is going to happen now. It's just so depressing that I really don't even think about it. I just go back to how amazing the first seven were. I can't even think of how the next ones are going. BTW, number 11 is a little better than the last three, or at least I think.

I have seen the anime, and am dying to get the manga. The anime club at my university watched it before it was licensed. 36 episodes. It's coming to America sometime in the coming months. I can't wait! I'm sure the manga is just as addicting as the series!

its an ok anime, though i havnt read the anime. of course, i watched it subbed, not dubbed.

i love the manga...my friend refuses to read it after what happens to L...has anyone read the Los Angeles BB Murder Cases? Its narrated by Mello and its really good, i suggest it to anyone who loves death note
