Pictures of your book collection

Too late; it's a done deal. Expect the 60 I picked up at Powell's to show up at your place within the week. Muahahahahaha.

Update-the wife and I are first time owners of a home. Our house features built in bookshelves in the basement. Luckily, a math professor at the nearby college built it and he also had a passion for books.

On a different note, here is the snake that my boys found in a hole. They grabbed a pitcher of water and I grabbed a camera-great backyard science lesson.

AHHHH *bump* . i have nothing to post but this is one of my favorite threads. thought id bump it in case new people haven't seen it, hoping they would and add new pictures..:D LOVE this thread

I don't have a pic of my library, but even if I did I would be too embarrassed to show it now. Mine is only a fraction of SFG's. I really regret not keeping all of my books over the years. I lost quite a few while I was stationed on a ship in the navy. I would stash them in various places such as cable runs but management grew weary of it and started throwing them away. My apartment is much too small to keep many books so I have a single shelf in my closet, but it is double lined with books. and I also have a stack of books in the bottom of my closet. Audio books are out here in the living room.

I do not have enough film (or digital space) to post all the books I have. Images a humongous pile(s) of unorganized books on shelves and piled up on the floor and you will get a mental image of my collection. Hmmm...time to buy more shelves. :(

These are two of the 4 and half bookshelves in the hall adjoining the living room.

I don't have pictures of the bookcases upstairs, but there are two large and three small ones in the upstairs hall.

Left one out in error, then couldn't post in the middle due to number of images.

Anyhow, this is the middle of the wall facing my chair.

Very impressive indeed, Pontalba!
Green with envy here!
My books are all currently packed up, in about a dozen or more cartons here in the bedroom -- still packed from a recent relocation (5 years ago  ), and staying packed while getting the apartment ready for repainting. New ones are beginning to proliferate, though, on the window sills.
