Hah! I think I would skip this one - Nicolas Cage is a big red warning sign...I haven't seen it, so I shouldn't be making these kinds of opinions, but from the comments I've received, this goes down as one of the worst films in history unless you want to laugh very, very hard at its ridiculousness.
 
I have seen the remake of Wicker Man. And it really is that awful; not only is it blatantly misogynist, it completely loses the point of the original and features some of the worst acting and dialogue I've seen in a supposed horror movie. Seriously. Yes, counting 50s B movies and 80s slashers. It might be worth watching for the (very unintentional) comedy value, though; Nic Cage in a bear suit screaming "AAAAAAAH! YOU BITCHES! MY LEGS! OH NO! NOT THE BEES! NOT THE BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEES!" for about 15 minutes straight... On the DVD commentary to the original Wicker Man, Christopher Lee remarks that
This attitude that "people wouldn't understand" is far too prevalent in cinema today. People should be able to use what's left of their minds when they watch something.

The remake, sadly, is proof that not everyone agrees with this.
