I love V.C. Andrews and have followed each series in order. I especially enjoyed Falling Stars which is the sequel to the miniseries, Shooting Stars.

I'm guessing it was a spy, secret, mystery type book. I would love to read another book that is similar to the Falling Stars style.

Please help find another great read!!!!

While I'm waiting for recs. ..I decided to do a lil research of my own. I found the author Lois Duncan. She was on a list of authors that are similar to V.C. Andrews. I've already put in a request for Down a Dark Hall by Lois @ my Library. I see that Locked in Time is another popular book of hers.

I guess I tend to find books that are about house/manor with thrilling, suspensful secrets on the characters my style.

So is my book genre mystery/thrilling? or just thrilling/suspense? I'm not even sure.

If you search V.C. Andrews on Amazon, they always recommend similiar books for you if you scroll down the page.
Welcome!

Isabell thanks for the suggestion. I have tried that method long before I have stumbled upon this forum. Amazon's related item were other vc andrews books.

Anyone else have any recs? I really would like to dive into a book soon...

damara27, I have read Andrews years ago, and I have no idea what else to recommend that is similar.

I think after the Dallanger series, they became kind of the same stories retold with different names.

Open your horizons and try something new. There are a lot of reviews in the forum from different members.:)

damara27, if you're still around, check out John Saul. His first book is Suffer the Children. When I was younger, he and V.C. Andrews were two of my addictions.

Another site you can use for recommendations is GoodReads.com. They show member reviews and then groups and lists that have the book you're looking for. I've found some great recommendations through that site.
