I was very happy to discover the new book by the author of Life of Pi.

I've just borrowed a book about everyday life in the second half of the 19th century, quite thick and full of history but very interesting.My reading is quite slow though as I'm very busy at work so it's good that the book is not from the library, but from a friend of mine.:innocent:

A gift: Heart of Darkness by Joseph Conrad.

Much more readable and meaningful, this time, than the first time I tried it long ago.

Now it seems to me that Apocalypse Now missed the point.

I just saw a commercial yesterday that a movie is coming out,I think it is based on this book.
