Hello Everyone and Happy Holidays!

My name is Vicki. I go by Auntie V because no one ever spells my name right. My passion is books. I collect cookbooks and currently have more than 300 audio books. I started listening to audio books when I was taking care of my Dad. He was on hospice at home and would try to get out of bed a lot at night so I would sit by his bed and listen to my books.

We lost my Dad in November but I am still the 24/7 caregiver for my 84 year old mom. She watches TV at least 18 hours a day so I still have lots of time for books.

I mostly listen/read mystery or thrillers and love series books.

I am looking forward to getting to know everyone and seeing what you are reading.
 
Hi Vicki....At last, someone else who spells her name the 'right' way. When I was in the second grade, there were three of us in the class, same middle name, but we each spelled Vicki differently. Imagine my culture shock when I suddenly had to put first AND last name on all my worksheets:lol:
 
Glad to have you with us Vicki. John Dewey is one of my favorite theorists of education.

In fourth grade we had 4. I was the lucky one that the teacher decided to call Victoria. That would not have been too bad except she would say Vic-TOR-E- Ah

This all in a high shrill voice. Lucky for me we moved before the end of the year.:whistling:
