Books for Christmas?

I used to think Amazon Prime was only for planning weenies, but I am beginning to come around. I and my partner ordered stuff for each other from Amazon several weeks before Xmas. We are both still waiting for our presies.

Thank you for the birthday wishes! :) Santa did redeem himself by slipping my husband a collection of Agatha Christie mysteries (Hercule Poirot, of course!). All in all, a good season for books this year!

My husband gave me a subscription to Isotope and 20$ worth of books at a library sale (which is quite a lot of books!) and I used a Border's gift card and Christmas money to buy:

Children of Hurin
The Book Thief
How to Read a Book
The Omnivores Dilemma

from amazon.com. My husband bought World War Z: An Oral History of the Zombie Wars by Max Brooks and I gave him The Zombie Survival Guide by the same author.

The links etc... are on my blog post

So all in all, it was a good season for books!

Santa was great to me this year!
I never get books for Christmas.. but i was lucky this year..
Santa (a.k.a my mum) gave me 5 books (4 of which were in the form of a Borders Gift Card :p)
Count of Monte Cristo by Alexandre Dumas
Mansfield Park by Jane Austen
Notes from Underground and The Double by Foydor Dostoyevsky
Sense and Sensibility by Jane Austen
North and South by Elizabeth Gaskell

I got The Choice by Nicholas Sparks which I read in one day.

Then with a giftcard I bought the Better Homes & Garden cookbook

Santa brought a few:

The Medusa Stone - Jack Du Brul
The Venetian Betrayal - Steve Berry
Rockets of the World - Peter Alway
Experimental Composite Propellant - Terry McCreary

The same went for me until I started sending out my amazon wishlist last Christmas. I've gotten more books than anything else since they're pretty much all that I have on there. I highly recommend it.

By the numbers: from 00 to 99. Its a book about the players who have worn the numbers from 00 to 99, at least the well known ones. It combines two of my favourite things: hockey and history and its a book to boot. Lots of photos and quite a bit of writing as well :)

So, did anyone get any books this christmas? Again I only got one: Equador by Miguel Sousa Tavares, a portuguese writer.

How about you guys? Was Santa generous in term of books?
