Hello. I'm Carly, and I shall greet you kindly with a flower in hand. :flowers: (I just needed a reason to use that smilie because I think it's adorable).
I joined this forum to review and remember the books I read, as well as getting suggestions and adding to my ever increasing To Be Read list. My favourite books tend to be romances (particularly by Nicholas Sparks), but I love a bit of everything.
I'm fifteen years old, but please don't let my age frighten you away. I assure you I won't bite your head off. I'm one of those very rare teenagers who are true to themselves and don't try oh so desperately to fit in.
I'm quite odd, however. Odd is an understatement, actually.
I spend my time reading, of course, as well as: straining my eyeballs on the laptop screen, playing the sims 2 (I've been a proud simaholic for almost 2 years), playing the piano, and watching & breathing in the purity of the earth; whether that be stars, wind, trees, sunsets, clouds or a flowing creek.
I'm very much like a teenager in the sense that I'm trying (and failing) to decipher my life and who I am. I'm very much unlike a teenager in the sense that I see and perceive the world very differently, and frankly don't give a rats about what most teenagers seem to care about these days.
One last thing to say: My dog, Bailey, is my closest friend and the most precious thing I've been given in my life. Ya see, dogs touch me in a way that I can't explain. They seem to hold this innocence in their eyes that makes me fall in love with them. I love my dog more than I have ever loved any human, and always will. :blush:
Anyways, I'm happy to be anyone's friend, so say hello or leave me a pm if you want to.
