The number 666 is refering to the AntiChrist, as described in the Book of Revelations in the Bible. While considered an unlucky number for the average person, in this context (a public forum)it really holds no spiritual significance. The number is only evil in relation to the Anti-Christ, and I don't think Landslide or anyone else here qualifies.

Thanks for the vote of confidence, ABC. I only mentioned it cause I recently read a book that dealt with it's significance so I found the coincidence amusing.

I also like the number cause it's how high (in meters) the sierra near where I live is.

But never mind, I wasn't trying to cause a discussion, especially a religious one, I was just pointing out a curious fact.

Oh, I know.. and I wasn't trying blast you or AB.. just pointing out that we don't have to fear this number the way we sometimes do.

The religious studies professors (and Biblical scholars who've lectured) at my university taught us about how Revelations was written about the Roman Empire and the Beast (666) was the Emperor, most likely Nero.

Just sayin'. And to be clear, y'all believe whatever you want to believe. ;) I'm not trying to start an argument. 'Cause you know. I have nothin' but love for y'all.

Where would we be without our local libraries? My librarians are good shoppers..they're constantly on high alert for book bargains.
