Are you still using the same journal? Or do you now have several? I wish I had done something like that when I was in high school (or even middle, elementary)...

Yes I'm still using the same journal and it isnt nearly full yet. I think I have skipped writing lots of books I've read. I write them in when I remember them. In fact I remembered four last week that I read as a young teen and wrote them in. I have really enjoyed keeping this book and as I saw another person posted earlier that that's one of the things I like about finishing a book, that I get to write it in my journal.

..

i have a list of books i read..

i still have the receit of every book that i purchased..
just for sentimental value..

and it made me realize that i spend most of my money on books..

i buy books every time i got chance and if i have money that is on my no.1 list..:star1:

I got so many diaries for last Christmas that I kept one of them solely for recording when I started and finished reading books. I'm really pleased I've done it as it's nice to flick back through to see what I was reading at the start of the year and also to see which months I read more than others.

I'll definitely be continuing with this now. :)

I have my blog, but I also have a really lovely notebook where I write down what I have read and more personal thoughts on it which I might not want to share on the internet.

I also have a "would like to read" list in my PDA. Very useful when you are in a shop and want to purchase a few books :)

I began to keep track of the books I read in January 1977 and continue to this day. Years ago I created a database for this purpose and find it wonderful to have my progress in alphabetical order by writer and the year listed next to the title. It's a wonderful feeling paging back to see how much my reading tastes have changed ... I am still findingn new authors and moving on from others.
GERBAM :)

You have to keep track!

I always keep a list of the books that I read. I keep a little notebook by my bed and when I finish a book I write it down. I also note what year I read it and put a little synopsis of the book. This is great in case you want to lend it to a friend and forget what it is about. Also, as a teacher I need to note what books I read in case I want to teach them!!

I have a notebook dedicated purely to my reading pursuits. My 'have read', 'to read', 'to purchase', and what books I own and are nestled snugly on my bookshelves in my library/study.

As I find it almost impossible to part with books, I still have almost every book I have ever read.

And this is my dilemma (sorry Fate) with libraries. Sure they offer free books for our viewing pleasure, but I have an uncanny need to keep every book i've read. (I've paid schools to keep books i had to read for assignments.)

Therefore, yes. I keep track of all the books i've ever read by storing them away. For what purpose? Who knows!

I no longer keep track of the books that I read, have to read etc. because I have more or less given up my book reviewing activity due to health issues. I would be happy to donate my books to any book lover. I am in Hyderabad, India.

For the last couple of years, I've been adding the cover of whatever book I'm currently reading to my Facebook page. I did this mainly because people would often post interesting comments. Only later did it occur to me that the album I had created also served as a complete list of the books I'd read. So far I've read 56 this year.

I don't write them down but I have a blog where I review books that have been sent to me by authors, mainly self published authors, I might start adding the books i read to that and giving them a little review. . be a nice way to remember what ive read.
