Martina Cole: The Know

I have read about a third of this book after a friend recommended it but I am finding it very long-winded and, quite frankly, tedious. It is the first Martina Cole book I have read, and probably the last. I really can't be bothered to read any further but because I know the plot now, I'd like to know how it ends. Could anyone let me have a brief description of what happens from the point where the girl is missing?

I found Martina Cole's books to be a great read. Bit too long perhaps, about 300 pages would be enough. And written about gangsters and their families rather than a who-dunit.
I have read three of her books and enjoyed them. The Know was one, The Take and Faces.

I have read The Know and The Take but I am not in a rush to read any more. I think Martina Cole is a bit like Marmite, you love it or can't stand it.
You hit the nail on the head when you say it's long-winded and, quite frankly, tedious; but you would like to know how it ends. A good start to her books, then a long winded middle just to find out what happens. A bit like the soaps.

Well there you are. I love marmite too LOL.:flowers: But I admit they are too long for my taste. Found them a good read though.
