What kind of novel is it?

It is a fantasy humorous novel. Terry Pratchett invented a complete world called, Disc World. It is extremely funny and inventive. He has a huge following. I love his books. He must have written about 40 Disc World novels and around 20 others, all humorous.I suggest you start with The Colour of Magic.

The Girl Who Kicked the Hornets' Nest by Stieg Larsson :star5:

Each of the trilogy was more...everything than the previous. Great ride!

The Little Country by Charles De Lint :star4:

This is definitely one of his best novels, but there is always something that prevents me from giving him a five star rating. In this case, it was cognitive dissonance that was blatantly obvious in a couple of spots.

The Art of the Poetic Line - James Longenbach

"Poetry is the sound of language organized in lines. . . . The music of a poem -- no matter if metered, syllabic or free -- depends on what the syntax is doing when the line ends."

**Caution - hyperboles abound**

My god, I'm going to pop a bottle of champagne when I finish this book I'm reading. I've never forced myself to read anything more pretentious and tiresomely boring than this Jonathan Lethem book. Something mind-blowingly awesome better happen in these last 80 pages. Otherwise, this is going to be the worst story of all time.

The Interpretation of Murder - Jed Rubenfield :star3:

A murder mystery with Sigmund Freud as one of the characters. A bit of suspense, some psychoanalysis - it's a page turner. The story gets too complicated in the end.
