Bernard Cornwell: Sword Song

Thanks for info. Tomorrow I work at library again and will pick up Harlequin. Currently reading book about 17th century English cannoneer who goes to China. it is called Manchu, by Robert Elegant. Good battle action in this one also.

Ahhhh! I have been waiting for the next installment of Uhtred. I think he is my favorite character Cornwell has come up with, although I liked the Archer in the Harlequin series as well.

Chiangmaifalcon - I think Harlequin is the first in the Archer tales series, so you could definitely start there with no problem.

Mine also! He's a true badass!

I'm also very fond of the guy in Gallow thief, like most of Corwell hero, brutal and short tempered but some sort of a loser at heart.
Gallow thief is excellent stand alone book, a mine in Old English slang.

I feel a bit let down by the fact he never finished the serie about American civil war. Some unsorted issue in them....
I already complained on his web site.
Damn it.

I also like the main storyteller in the Warlord series, can't remember his name, I'll look it up later.
