Ann Brashes: The Sisterhood Of The Traveling Pants

Hi my name is Alana. I am new to this site and I wanted to recommend a book. The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants is about four young girls separated over the summer vacation and they share a pair of pants through their travels, well if you want to hear an excerpt from the book there is a link. It is a very interesting book to read.

Sisterhood

The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants by Ann Brashes is about a friendship and the summer that friendship changed.

I would recommend this book to anyone. It is a great book about life, love, friendships, and a great pair of jeans.

Did anybody here know there is a movie deal in the works? WOO HOO

Punky_Skater16, I've edited your post, deleting the review. While I'm glad to see that you have so much to contribute, the review section of the forum would be a more appropriate place for such a post. Please submit it there.

Another word of caution to all. Cross posting is not allowed. I've edited your thread on this same subject, Punky, not because it's not interesting, but because it was redundant.

I hope you will continue to share your views here. Keep the posts coming!

i couldn't get past the first few pages of that book. i just couldn't stand it. i couldn't stand the concept or the immaturity of the writing. i've considered giving it another try, but i guess i never got around to it.

I've actually read this series. It's kindof young for me, but I often trial read books before buying them for my neice and nephew. I also like to keep up on what is popular in children/teen lit for when I have kids of my own.

I didn't think these were the most well written books for the age group they seem to be marketed to. When I was in High School I read adult books, and when I was younger I didn't read books that dealt with teens having sex. I felt that the language could have been a bit more advanced. At times, I was bored with the different intertwining stories and just wanted to feel like the story was more fluid. All in all, I place them in the "borrow, not buy" category.

I've never read it, but my fiancee (who is Colombian and only learned English a couple years ago) read it over the summer, and as a result really got into reading English books. She really liked it.

I have read all 4 of the Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants books and i loved them all. I do have one question though. What are all the fonts for the sisters when they write their letters??

This series is so awesome! I really like Bridget and Lena.... Friendship is just like that *sigh*. But I feel so scared for Tibby in the fourth book, when...you know. Anyways, this book is FABULOUS!
