Books that have made you cry?

Tell us what books have had you bawling like a baby. For me, the only one i can think of is Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.

I can't say I ever cried while I read a book.

However,
I know after I finally finished New Moon (2nd book in the Twilight series), I felt like crying because I wasted three weeks reading such crap.

When the heart cries - by Cindy Woodsmall

This is a great story. I shows that life isn't fair but even a young girl can be strong even when life is hard.

I don't know that I've ever really cried at a book, but I definitely welled up a bit for 'If Nobody Speaks of Remarkable Things' by Jon McGregor.

The saddest endings to books I read were Flowers for Algernon by Daniel Keyes and the other was Never Let Me Go by Kazuo Ishiguro (which was otherwise quite shocking and veered toward almost being a horror novel I thought).

I have no trouble crying for books -- in, during, and after. The list would be endless, but Flowers for Algernon would be a good example.
