Hello All

I've never posted about the books I read but I'm going to give it a try. I read about 50 books a year. Most of the books I read are fiction. And I love thrillers and mystery books. While I love to read, I'm not a writer. Therefore, when I write a review of the books I read, give me break when my grammar isn't perfect and my spelling is even worse. :)

Seriously, I look forward to posting with you.

Hello Sabrina. Welcome to the forum. :)

What books do you typically read? Fiction is a bit of a broad criteria.

Hi Polly Parrot,
Primarily I like mystery, thrillers, crime solving, etc. For fun, I throw in some other types of books and often get hooked on them. I recently read one of the No 1 Ladies Detective series and found it to be a very pleasant read. Precious Ramotswe had a point when she muses about what good is it to have a large number of cows if you don't take them time to watch them eat grass. I wish I could be more like her.

Hii Landslide,
My list of favorite authors seems to change from time to time depending up what I'm reading but below are some of my favorite (in no particular order).
Stieg Larsson - What a shame that we won't have more of his quirky and entertaining books
Catherine Coulter
Michael Harvey
Lee Child (They've said the next book is a Jack Reacher book but I have a feeling Jack's character is about to change radically)
James Patterson (Although I've been disappointed recently)
Lisa Gardner
Michael Connelly
David Baldacci
Michael Harvey (To the best of my knowledge, he's only written 3 books but I loved them all)

And for a good change of pace....

Debbie Macomber
Jude Deveraux

Of the ones you listed I've only read James Patterson's first two books of the Women's Murder Club series and I liked them. I really want to read Stieg Larsson but I'm waiting for the price of the books to drop...

Welcome.

David Baldacci and Michael Connelly are two of my favorite authors too. If you like crime solving mystery and I recommend Robert Crais to that list. Jeffery Deaver is another good one though his last few have disappointed me.

I put a book from each of those authors on my BN wish list. Eventually I get to all of the books on that list. Thank you very kindly for the recommendations.

**** yeah! I also agree with you about James Patterson. The beginning of the Cross series is good, but it has deteriorated over time. I'm still a fan though, because Patterson got me involved in mystery,so it's a hard bond to break :flowers:.
