guilty viewing

A thread along these lines probably already exists, but out of interest anyone have any tv shows that they watch that they wouldn't normally admit to viewing?? I think I have quite a few.....

Bold and the beautiful
The bachelor/bachelorette
The apprentice

and there's probably more but that's all I'm going to own up to thus far......

Checks no one is reading/watching...

The Vampire Diaries.

I feel guilty watching this Dawson's Creek meets Twilight-type show, yet I do find it quite enjoyable. I even enjoyed it so much I picked up the HD Season 1 on my Apple TV. I don't watch too much TV in general though, and nothing else I feel 'as guilty' about :whistling:

Jersey Shore
Big Brother
The Amazing Race
Survivor
American Idol(just to see Simon)

I'm sure there is more.

Yes I will also admit to watching the Amazing race. There was a recent call out for Australian entrants. I have a friend who would have been perfect for it, but she had nobody to race with.

I thought of another show to confess after my original post, Keeping up with the Kardashians. This was sandwiched between two shows I was recording and after a few weeks of watching the beginning and then the end, I finally succumbed and recorded the whole thing. It was just compelling viewing, I can't believe I've admitted to watching this......

A Thai show which translated title is Like Sticky Rice Good Fight. These cops and commandos fighting terrorists in jungle. The hero has super powers he gets from eating sticky rice which was blessed by monk.

I LOVE THE VAMPIRE DIARIES!!! And I'll stand up proudly and admit it. I've watched every episode, and I have Season 1 on DVD just so I can enjoy it all over again.

I can also often be caught watching Bravo TV and such shows as Flipping Out, The Real Housewifes of ...., Top Chef and previously Project Runway which I've followed over to Lifetime. I can't even explain why I love these shows. They are kinda like watching a car wreck. I can't look away.

I also watch The Vampire Diaries and Project Runway but I don't really consider them guilty pleasures.
I guess my biggest guilty pleasures are One Tree Hill and Murder, She Wrote.

I love Project Runway, but I sew so I can claim it's educational. Stuff that I know is crap but I watch anyway? Glee and Murder She Wrote. And then if I take time off work to Get Stuff Done I know I'll waste it watching crappy daytime telly. Mostly it's property shows, but there's the odd spot of Judge Judy to add some variety.

"Jersey Shore". I was a casual viewer for Season 1, but this season I can't miss an episode.

"The Situation" is on Dancing with the Stars this season, premiere was last night,Glens comment after he finished the dance was "you got the guns but are missing the bullets." He was owned.

I like every show that that asshole chef guy is in. Gordon something. Hell's Kitchen last night was good. I keep missing that other one though... Master Chef. Caught one ep and thought it was great. One of the judges threw that Asian chick's stuff in the trash without even tasting it. That was hardcore.

Gordon Ramsey :) I watch the Kitchen Nightmares and Kitchen Nightmares U.S. if I can grab them when they're on. I don't count it as guilty viewing though - it's also the only reality TV show I can tolerate, though it leans more toward documentary at times. It's more a case of common sense being applied in many cases and his trying to right-size many over inflated egos. I like Ramsey as basically he pushes the ideas of hard-work, common sense, budgeting across in those shows... as for his other stuff though I haven't seen those so can't tell whether he himself goes all ego on those programmes.
