hi, I'm bobby, I'm 20 and I just love to play those goddamn video games!

in the past two weeks I bought shinobi, vice city, xenosaga, and tekken tag for the ps2; mario party 5, mario golf, splinter cell, animal crossing, final fantasy: crystal chronicles, super smash bros., windwaker, and mario sunshine for the gamecube; and star wars: knights of the old republic for xbox. I don't even have to leave my freakin' house for the rest of the year (or until halo 2 comes out).

waaaaaaaaaaaaaaag!

unless, of course, mom and dad's car doesn't fill itself up with gas. then you know what that means?

summer job ... nooooooooooooo!

nothing wrong with that... the other day i bought Chronicles of Riddick, Metal Slug 3 (gotta love the old arcade games), Full Spectrum Warrior, & Rallisport Challenge 2... love em... just love em.

Oh you HAD to go and mention games, didn't you? LOL

I'm 35  and I've been addicted to computer games for years! A few of my all-time favorites are: Diablo, Civilization, Railroad Tycoon (all of which I've played every new game or expansion), Unreal Tournament 2003 & 2004 (they don't call me Snipress for nothin' LOL), and Morrowind (which is my all-time favorite game).

Not to go and get morbid here, but the only reason I stopped playing Morrowind was because I was playing it when my husband had his heart attack. I couldn't get his screams of pain out of my head whenever I sat down to try and play again. Thank goodness I'd already completed the "main" mission, and was just roaming the land on a mission of my own, vampire hunting. I would have been sorely disappointed if I hadn't been able to at least get to the end of the main story-line.

Where do you people get the money?!

Sheesh!!

Cheers, Martin

I tend to wait until games have been out for awhile, or else put them on a wish list and receive them as gifts. But, once in awhile, I will go out and purchase something "hot" on my own, and pack a lunch for the next month to pay for it. LOL

I think Vice City is one of the best games ever. I am still working toward 100% on that game. My favorite right now though is Ninja Gaiden. It's a toughie.

Does anyone play 'massively multiplayer online' games? I like City of Heroes for right now and World of Warcraft should be great when it comes out.

I played WW2OL at launch, it was horrible! But they kept improving it until it got really good. Unfortunately about that time, it started getting too laggy on my system. I have really been considering checking it out again though. I also play SWG although my attention to that game has also been lagging lately--I am waiting for the first expansion.

No-one has yet mentioned the good old LucasArts adventure games, I am willing to let this oversight pass, accepting it as simply due to your uncontrollable rage directed towards the corporation for their cancellation of Sam and Max 2, but I shall nonetheless address this lack. Grim Fandango is possibly my favourite game ever (I can't decide between it and Ocarina of Time/Wind Waker), the noir atmosphere, jazz stylings, dry humour and supreme inventiveness make it the most incredible fun, while Sam and Max and the incredible Monkey Island series are simply hilarious. DoTT's good too, though I feel Full Throttle is somewhat of a weaker link. If you haven't played them, do so. Now.

Currently I'm playing through Deus Ex, and I have to say that it is absolutely superb. The freedom offered and open-ended route to all goals is wonderful, I have been playing through without killing everyone, whilst my friend made it his mission to annihilate almost every single living creature in that virtual world (I worry about him sometimes). Wonderful plot as well, twists and turns and conspiracies lurk around every corner. I'm just entering Bunker III in the Paris Catacombs, but so far Hong Kong has been my favourite map, from Wan Chai to the MJ12 Lab it was a delight to play.
