New Jane Eyre adaptation

Jane Eyre is a seriously good book. I would love if Guillermo del Toro or Alejandro Amenábar had a go at directing an adaptation.

Judging from the number of times and number of places that I have seen Jane Eyre mentioned as a favorite book or story, my guess is that it is the all-time-favorite story in the World, anytime, anywhere. Perhaps that's an exaggeration, but the story is unfailingly popular. Always on the shelf. Always mentioned favorably. And so forth.

And I'll be watching too. :)

I've never read Jane Eyre nor have I seen one of the many adaptations. I'll try to see this one.

I have never hear about this movie. when i read your post then i know about it.i think this movie is already launched and i have not seen this movie. i will sure watch this movie in this coming weekend.

Erm, the movie hasn't been released yet. Maybe you're thinking of another version (assuming you're not a spambot)?

No, he's a spammer trying to bump his post count so he can have a sig.

Check out the rest of his posts. They are

The two versions of Jane Eyre that I've seen, the original with Orson Welles and Joan Fontaine, and the Timothy Dalton one were excellent I thought. I've not been drawn to any of the remakes, that is until this one. The trailer is interesting and seem to adhere to the original language of the book. I'll certainly see this one when it does come out in March.

In the U.S. it opens this Friday. Limited release, however, so I don't think it'll be playing in any theaters near me (boo).
On a more positive note, the movie has earned good reviews so far.

I am still trying to get details in between working.:innocent:

Edit:Limited release? That sucks.

Release date(s) March 11, 2011 (2011-03-11)
(United States)
September 9, 2011 (2011-09-09)
(United Kingdom)

Dorian Grey is out, have you seen it?

So, has anyone seen it? The trailer looks amazing and it has actually made me start reading the book, which I've had for over ten years and never felt like reading... Never seen an adaptation either so this will be my first!
