Monogamous? or not?

OK, I'm one of those weirdos who has several books on the go at any one time. Got one beside the tub, one in progress on the Kindle, one in my "work" bag, and one from the library that has to get back in a day or so. That one gets priority. I'm not always like this, but more often than not I am. What kind of readers are you all?

And for those of you who thought something else from the title...Gotcha!

I often have a novel and a non-fiction book in progress, with frequent jaunts into favorite reference books. I keep a lot of cookbooks and How-To's around. My copy of Deb Stoller's Happy Hooker is in danger of becoming a two-volume edition soon, but I'm making another One Skein Scarf for a Christmas gift and I need to refer to the pattern again.

When I was in high school I'd have as many as five books going. I didn't have much of a social life back then. Mind you, they were easy sci-fi/horror reads. Right now I'm only on one book, which I haven't picked up in two days :whistling:.

I never use to have more than one book going at a time. But in the past 6 to 8 months I have doubled and tripled up some. In most cases it usually mixing a non-fiction with fiction.

I only read one book at a time. I like to really get involved in the story and I don't think that would happen if I read more than one at the same time...

I normally only have one book going at a time. There are exceptions of course. Mostly when there is an in depth book that I might feel the need to have a "rest" from.

I have at least three going at any one time. I have my audio that I listen to in the car, plus I keep an audio on my MP3 player to listen to when I'm at the gym or doing housework. Then I have the book I'm reading either on my nook or paperback.

Way to go!
