How many books do you buy in a month?

Up until the middle of last year I was buying about 5 a month, but I'm on a book-buying ban at the moment until I have finished all the books I have on my shelf. I've only got about 10 to go :D

I'm tempted to do that, but I've figured out that at the rate I went through them last year, I wouldn't get to buy any books for the next year and a half... so nuts to that! :D

Ha ha! No.

But I've tried to cut down on buying, and have only bought two thus far this month.

But just think, if the unthinkable should happen, and you get snowed in by the blizzard of the century..you have lots of reading material and can stay warm and cozy at home:D

Blasphemy!

A year in a half isn't bad. I've probably got enough books to last me five years if I needed. I'm trying to read the ones I don't consider classics (so that I'll be willing to get rid of them when I'm done). Every time I give books away I make a point to tell my husband so he knows that I am "making an effort". The only problem is that even with my buying embargo the incoming always seems to be more than the outgoing.
