Help with supernaturals book

Hi I'm new to this forums and him a fellow avid reader. I would like if someone could help me find some good books about the supernatural. As of now the only thing I seem to find are these crappy books about a girl (demon, faerie, vampire, human, etc) who fight the supernatural while fucking everything that move in the most salacious way possible and the teenage romance rip-off Stephanie Meyers dumb ass series of book I won't name. I would like if people could give me some books names they and liked or a list if possible. I'm not against a little romance in the books so long as it doesn't take 50% of the books.

I would really appreciate if you could help me, I would be really grateful. Thanks in advance :flowers:

I didn't read the book, I was kinda afraid it would be like the HBO series their making about it and to be frank was really scared about the show. Sookie look like she's a beat up wife who just come back for more with her kind and cuddly vampire boyfriend.

Is the book anything like the series? if not can you give your thoughts on the books

I think the books are pretty different from the tv series. There's definitely less sex. I was rather shocked when I watched the first episode. The books aren't as violent at the tv series.

If you don't think those books are for you let me suggest some others.

The House of Night series by P.C Cast and Kristen Cast
Anything by Kelley Armstrong
Anything by Kim Harrison
The Night World series by L.J. Smith

None of the True Blood vampires are kind and cuddly (well, maybe Eddie, but he didn’t last long.) And Sookie Stackhouse does get injured often, but she’s too tough to stay with a boyfriend that beats her up. I really enjoy the snarky humor in that series. Why don’t you check the first book (Dead Until Dark) out of the library, and see if you like it?

You might enjoy the October Daye series by Seanan McGuire. The first book is Rosemary And Rue.

Also, The Dragon Queen and The Raven Warrior by Alice Borchardt. These are about Guinevere, but with werewolves, Druids, and lots of other supernatural stuff.
