How Many Books In 2012?

Before I started writing myself I would have read anywhere from 5-10 books a month (1-2) a week, but now I'm down to 1-2 a month, so around 12-24 a year. :( That sounds like a pitiful number when you write it out like that. The kindle app on my phone and actually having a kindle that I tote around in my purse allows me to ready MUCH MUCH more now than I was a few months ago. Drs appts, kid practices and all those other things you have to wait around for...I read now, so maybe it ends up being a little more than 1-2 a month :)

As a bare minimum, I'm fitting in one volume per week, but with the proviso that I have to enjoy every book I count. So I might have read seventy or so by December, a number which I'm far shy of at present. But there are plenty of short books in my collection to help me catch up.

I have no idea how many books I will read but I do know that every book I read I will try and post a review on here. Will you do the same?

Yea this should be the question. How many reviews (on books you have read) will you post on BAR in 2012?

Mini-reviews from me, probably -- only a couple sentences of highlights each. (And ignoring the books I start but put aside unfinished). Lately, writing is shifting my time away from conversational posting anywhere, and also cutting into reading.

A review is a review, mini or other-wise. Also, keep "Peder's Pond" stocked. I enjoy the time spent on the pond. :)

Well, thank you so much for your very kind comment! Writing up there in the blog attic is a rather quiet existemce, so I am overjoyed to actually hear of somebody who reads any of the words and actually enjoys them. "Modern Genesis" is still in the works and coming soon (to fill in the "Christmas" gaps).
Tickled pink,
Peder
:) :) :)

Now back to regular programming.

fifty in a good year, 30-35 in one where I've got to spend more time at work (i.e. even at home ) :-(

My record was 100, usually it's between 80 and 90. This year I've been slower - or reading fatter books - so I guess I'll be lucky if I reach 80.

i'm in awe.. i have never thought to count books read in a year, never thought to actually set a goal for the year either..

That is so hard to predict. I'd say 2-3 dozen ish counting only books I read and double that if you count CD books. Summer I get to read a lot and school terms I get to read a little

My record for 1 year is 83, but I only did about 30 this year. It is just a lot harder to read when you are working full time. Was much easier when I was in college.
