I've been a book addict for as long as I can remember. I swoon for well-crafted sentences and imaginative plot twists. Currently, I'm in a college class that requires me to read, among other things, Lord of the Rings and His Dark Materials. Awesome, right? I also love to read in my spare time. I am pro-Kindle, if only for the free classics. :)

A little more about me... I'm a college student, working towards a degree in music education. I enjoy playing games, movies with heroics and explosions, and other geeky things. I'm excited to be here, and look forward to talking with you guys about books, life, whatever.

Welcome on board. I'd have loved to be in a college class like yours (I have a history of disliking most of the required reads but discovered many classics on my own later).

I love LotR and also liked His Dark Materials. Geeky things in general are fine with me. And I love your avatar!

I feel the same way about most required reads. I've started going through the books I was assigned in high school, trying to find some personal appreciation apart from the whole "this is a classic, you must read and be edified" introduction I received from school.

Ahh, I knew I should have read that more closely. However, you guys are a bunch of people who talk about books, and with all these other interesting people, how on earth could I get bored?
