Story/book with the help of twitter

Hello everyone!

Me and my friend had an idea to make a website and twitter account which will help us make a story with the help of other twitter users. The idea is that people tweet a sentence which continues the story.
Any feedback about the idea or what could we change would be appreciated!
and of course feel free to continue the story!

First you must understand that grammar is important. Maybe you don't think a sentence containing "Me and my friend" is a big deal, but you are on a slippery slope. You could eventually foul up a sentence where your objective is to convey to the reader that you want to "help your Uncle Jack off a horse." A horrible misunderstanding could ensue.

Yes my english will be a bit of a problem as I am not a native speaker. But mainly the sentences will be made by other people and checked by my buddy who is a grammar beast, haha!

So what do you think about the idea itself if I may ask?

I think coherent stories are made up of scenes and thematic arcs longer than one sentence at time, so I am skeptical of what the end result will be like. I would view as more in the nature of an experiment to see what happens. But I am just a stick in the mud.

Having actually read something that was created in a similar way from a forum thread that was 'continue the story' what you end up with is essentially a disjointed rambling incoherent 'story' that makes little or no sense because each person adds something without any reference to what went before except the immediately preceding line.

It's fun for participants, but don't expect to get a publishable or readable work from it.

Well then you must give it a go and see what results you get.
