Never got into the Buffy TV Miniseries, and didn't even know there were books around. I must be using my tunnel vision for the Jean M Auel books when I get to the shops, still can't find book six, "The Land of Painted Caves." What's up with the retailers these days?

There are several writers for the Buffy stories, many of them are TV or Screenwriters, too. A lot of excellent writing in the TV series and the books.

I started watching Buffy during it's 5 th season and got hooked. I am now a huge Joss Whedon fan and will watch anything he has a hand in.

A newy but a goody!

I have just finished reading an awesome book called 'Young Ned' from a new Australian author, Brett Ross and was inspired to write a mini review....
Its about a young man called Ned who with a couple of friends embark on an adventure through Southern California, Mexico and Central America. On this journey Ned and his friends have some crazy experiences and hilarious encounters with a variety of fascinating characters that had me regularly laughing out loud...And I was captured by the lead character Ned's genuine desire to live a life less ordinary...his spirit for adventure, his curiosity and his ability to open himself up to incredible possibilities through his interactions and experiences with his neighbour Ronald. If you are in the mood to be entertained by a unique, hilarious and well written book that may just inspire you then read 'Young Ned' without delay. I found it on Amazon. It's also a bit of an insight into the underbelly of the Australian working class that you might not be aware of. Not suitable for the unadventurous....:star4:

Borrowed or purchased? :) Is it Good, bad, hilarious, thrilling?

Hi Summerflyte-Little Wolves was very good,it's a kind of mystery fused with folklore. I wouldn't say it was a thriller, and def not hilarious! :)

Daylight Saving by Edward Hogan. Read his previous 2 novels which were great, and quite out of the ordinary,so expecting similiar with this.

I just bought book 3 of the Bloodlines series by Richelle Mead called 'The Indigo Spell', I actually purchased it yesterday and couldn't put it down in between chasing after my kids. It was wonderful, as you would expect from Richelle Mead's writing.

I would love to hear your thoughts on Gifted Hands: The Ben Carson Story, ABC.

It's a book I've heard about for several years, and with Dr. Carson making the news lately, I thought it time to check it out. We also have his book, America the Beautiful on request. There were plenty of holdings, but most were checked out..

I recently saw some interviews he gave, and a video from his speech at the national prayer breakfast. I don't often read non-fiction, but he seems to be an uncommonly interesting man.

That's my take on him too...and a sensible one at that. We've been watching some interviews and speeches too. He bears investigation..

First 5 Books of Star-crossed Series by Rachel Higginson, up to book 5 and loving them, can't seem to put them down so far....
