What's good? What's new?

My name is Kirstin. Pronounced Kur-sten. I am 22 years old, 23 this November. I'm not really great at anything, but good at a lot of stuff. I can juggle. Drive a limo. Cook some bad ass dumplings and fried chicken and have been known to sweet talk the bee's out of their honey. I can spin a riffle and I've been told I'm a pretty decent writer. The survey's out on that, though.

I live on my own and pay the bills by way of cashier at a big town/small city grocery store. My accent is pretty thick, being raised in trailers from Arkansas, so don't let how I type fool you. I've had the same best friend for 11 years and am hopelessly loyal to my gianormous family.

Hi Kirstin,

Welcome to the forum! I removed the photo of yourself from your post, I thought I'd just give you a chance to rethink posting it for security / privacy reasons. We tend not to use real names/post photos on this forum and well I can't stop you if you really want to post it, but perhaps you might just want to rethink it :)

Hi & welcome, i don't know when things changed but we used to share photos, one of my favorite old threads was full of pictures from our childhood and not too long ago you could have a profile picture as well as an avatar.

Perhaps it changed as people became more mindful of putting stuff on the internet? It's just that this an open forum, you can't choose who sees what, it's viewable to anyone and everyone and that is a considerably different situation to sharing a photo on FB with it only visible to friends. Once something is on the internet you can't take it down. It's stored in countless caches, snapshots, reviews, search engines etc. And I think people should be mindful of that - FYI the photo in question did not just show the OP but 2 others who may not be all that pleased for their photo to be shared. So I felt comfortable giving the OP a chance to rethink posting that photo.

I remember that. I think it was in a sub-forum.

Hello, Kirstin and welcome.

Hi Kirstin, thanks for the pronunciation thing...I'm terrible with that.
Hope you stick around. Solid intro. Driving a limo sounds hard.

I like to read everything, but mostly fiction. I'm a pretty big Kurt Vonnegut fan.

Driving a limo isn't so hard. The hardest part is having to deal with sqawking teenage girls going through puberty on the way to prom or dance.
