I have searched for years, but i can't find it, can anybody help?

I think it was called Nightmare or something. I know it went something like this: A girl has a dream, and in the dream she was an indian picking grain in the dark, and she felt a presence, and then she felt a stare literally burning in to her neck, after turning around, she saw yellow eyes in the darkness, and then she woke up. after a few moments she found that she had the shape of eyes burned into the back of her neck. after a bit, she found that she was being followed by an entity that could change its shape, but always had yellow eyes, but usually it took the form of a fox. after a bit she had a photo taken, she seen in the photo the yellow eyed fox, and decided she wouldnt let it hold her back, so she burned the photo, which inadvertinately had killed the entity.

I know it sounds like a kinda boring story, but I cant tell it very well since I dont remember. anyway if anyone knows the story im talking abut tell me.

Geez, that's not much information to go on. How long ago did you read it? Was it a novel, short story, or what? A children's book? What country did you live in when you read it? It could be a Stephen King or other horror author short story.
