I've seen the film of this but havn't read the book and thinking of buying it. If you have read the book, is it anything like the film?

Although the movie was pretty to look at, I don't think it captured the personalities of the rabbits very well. I also thought the action sequences were bland compared to the descriptions in the book.

If you liked the film, you'll love the book.

Buy the book, it's well worth it!

Ell :)

I agree with Ell - the book is excellent and much better than the film. I remember reading the book at primary school and bawling my eyes out at the end, I was so upset. Definitely read the book: it's very good. :)

The book is very good, though I thought the movie (I'm talking about the 1977-8 animated version) is also excellent.

One of my favorite books of all time. My (adult) niece brought it over and when I saw that it was a book about personified rabbits I said "No thanks." She repilied ... "READ IT !!!" .... I did, and I loved it. I often recommend it to nonreaders who ask me for a recommendation of "just something to read for entertainment". I concur with Halo about the ending. It was mildly sad and yet one of the most beautifully written endings I have ever experienced.

Beloved this book when I first read it. I injoyed his other books as well. Although I have to say that there were a few pages in the Duncan series without anyone missing them :)
