I've been a big fan of Phil Hoffman and his discussions on the importance of nutrition for a few years now. I've been into fitness for over a decade now and yes, I'm a workout junkie. I've always had problems toning my body like I wanted. I chose to get his "The 9 Principles For A Lean & Defined Body" and it was the best fitness book I've ever read. Phil has been in fitness for 30+ years and he's a certified nutritionist. To be honest, I never knew how important nutrition is when trying to get lean and defined. I was keened in on weight lifting and it did transform my body, but I could never get toned. A friend recommended his book and I felt obligated to return the favor.

I spent 10+ years lifting. If you're serious about fitness, you know where I'm coming from. Who would have thought nutrition could tone and define? Yes, to an extent. Believe me, proper nutrition can define your body. I've packed on 6 pounds of lean muscle and I'm certainly in the best shape. Weightlifters, I know exactly how you think. Nutrition is crucial to reducing body fat. I know we're taught to believe otherwise, but nutrition can and will cut.
