Flecklecks' Tagebuch

I have been listening to Mostly Autumn - The Ghost Moon Orchestra and found it to be very good.
I was surprised, because I had thought them a folk band, but the content of this offering could not be so described.
The title track on side one is particularly catchy and also rather disquieting.
Haunting melodies and stunning showboating are peppered throughout and I can readily advise anyone to listen to it and see what they think.
My personal rating will be in percentage, I give this album:- 87%

100 - 80 excellent, heartily recommended
60 - 80 very good, with some reservations
40 - 60 not recommended but worth you having a look and deciding for yourself
bellow 40 don't waste your time

I will use the same rating system throughout.
Isaac Asimov - Cal
This was Yarn of the month in another forum
It's about a robot who has asperations to write. We read his first three attempts. Between each, his programming is updated to enable him to write more convincingly.
It's funny and also has a superbly judged twist in the tale and I laughed at the humour several times.
I give it 88%

Had the drive to Stairfoot this morning to hand some photographs to the excellent printing house there.
Whilst I was travelling I tried the afore mentioned 'High Wheel' and listened to the whole album.
Two tracks! Both over twenty minutes long.
Superb stuff, very structured and delightfully layered.
