When music and writing combine.

I drove to my favourite flea market today and on the way listened to 'High Wheel - High Wheel in the Sky'.
Managed to find a nice paperback and really enjoyed the in transit entertainment too.

I love working on my novels in my head while listening to music and driving.
Music and writing combine as naturally as peanut butter and jelly.

Personally, I find it a bit too distracting to listen to music when I write. The only thing I want to listen to when I write is the sound of my keyboard.

I agree with Lucian about music being distracting. If the music is any good,
I start listening to it properly and can't focus on what I'm writing, but if the
music isn't anything special, why play it?
(This is just how it works for me. I've met many people who say that
music helps them to relax and actually write better. To each.........)

Hi,
I find it distracting if I am writing and listening to songs and I don't like silence. so, I do like listening to music with no signing that's really enjoyable.

I usually have Bach or Mozart on when I'm writing my thesis. I can't concentrate when it's anything with lyrics because at some point I'll start writing down the lyrics instead... O and some Mahler if I need to wake up. :)
