So 'fess up - do you buy new books even though you have a huge pile of unread books at home / on your reader just because you can't resist a good book?

Are you addicted to buying new books?

Well...I dunno...it just seemed as though you were saying one could buy too many books. :) I mean if there is room on one's shelf / reader for one more book why not get it? :p

so you can resist that urge to get a new book? You can walk past a book store? No urge to browse virtual or real bookstores just to see what's new?

I buy more books that I can read, but I love them. We have warehouse sales here often, and the temptation to get cheap books is difficult to resist.

I have to admit that even when I was going through my reading slump - which thankfully I'm now out of - I was still continuing to buy books and I don't just mean the odd one here and there either. It is very unusual in fact for a week to pass without a book (or two, or three!) popping through the letterbox. I'm slightly obsessed with buying them, to the point where I've probably got a bit of a problem. On the other hand there are a hell of a lot of worse things for me to be spending my (very) well-earned money on!

I'm stuck on book 10 of the wheel of time.. the last 3 books have been torturously slow and I bought a lot of books that I am excited to read in the process. It sucks that the wheel of time started out so good and has such a rough spot. I heard it gets better after book 10 though. I have to finish, but sadly it has drastically cut the amount of books I usually read a year down and made me have a huge surplus in my library simply because of how boring it has been the last few books, making me not want to bother reading.
