Here's a couple poems I've written in a form I invented. Enjoy! :)

Why Bother?

To call myself another one of you,
My mind rages against such thought!
Why must I take your word for mine own?

My mind rages against such thought!
Why must I take your word for mine own,
And call myself another one of you?

Why must I take your word for mine own,
And call myself another one of you?
My mind rages against such thought!

To call myself another one of you;
Why must I take your word for mine own?
My mind rages against such thought!

My mind rages against such thought,
To call myself another one of you!
Why must I take your word for mine own?

Why must I take your word for mine own?
My mind rages against such thought
To call myself another one of you!

The Blame Game

Everyone seems to point the finger,
When we should mind our own business!
To each his own, or am I wrong?

We should mind our own business!
To each his own, or am I wrong?
Everyone seems to point the finger!

To each his own, or am I wrong?
Everyone seems to point the finger,
When we should mind our own business!

Everyone seems to point the finger!
To each his own, or am I wrong?
Maybe we should mind our own business.

When we should mind our own business,
Everyone seems to point the finger!
To each his own, or am I wrong?

To each his own, or am I wrong?
When we should mind our own business,
Everyone seems to point the finger!

Make Your Stand

Shouldn't we all get a voice?
When freedom is on the line,
I am with you in this fight.

When freedom is on the line,
I am with you in this fight.
Shouldn't we all get a voice?

I am with you in this fight.
Shouldn't we all get a voice,
When freedom is on the line?

Shouldn't we all get a voice?
I am with you in this fight,
When freedom is on the line.

When freedom is on the line,
Shouldn't we all get a voice?
I am with you in this fight.

I am with you in this fight,
When freedom is on the line.
Shouldn't we all get a voice?

(end)

Glad you liked it, that's what it's all about. Yeah, I enjoy what I do, but nothing's better than taking someone along for the ride!:buttrock

Well, I started about 7 years ago, but there was a lot of downtime over the years. I've been stepping it up a notch for the past 2-3 years. Once I learned what form was, it really took off, and I've found so much more enjoyment out of my work. Nothing feels better than writing something worth saying.

It's really fulfilling, saying what's on your mind, and inside your heart. I laugh at the Blame Game, for it's true what you tell about that. I know where you're coming from, your poem one, two and three, I do understand what you're trying to convey, and how you mixes the lines. Like it.

thanks!

it was satire, and I was afraid it wouldn't be something many would appreciate. Now I can rest easy that it didn't fall on deaf ears.
