My name is Dawn and I'm a born and raised New Orleanean. I lived for a couple of years on the Atlantic Coast...Melbourne, Florida, and a couple on the East Coast...Oxnard, California. But My home will always be New Orleans. There is a saying here, "You can take a New Orleans girl out of New Orleans but she'll always come back."

I read many genres, but have been on a scifi and fantasy kick for a couple of years. I also enjoy Stephen King, especially the Dark Tower series, and Anne Rice, a local favorite.

I've been looking for a good book forum for quite some time without much luck until I, thankfully, stumbled onto yours. I was impressed with the speed and layout as well as the intelligent postings. I look forward to talking with all of you.

Thanks, Chris! I'm sure we'll be able to find some books that we BOTH like. (Harry Potter is apparently NOT one :D )
