Charlotte Brontë: Jane Eyre

Jane Eyre and Wuthering Heights are really what started me with the reading bug. I read WH when I was 13 or so and it was the first 'grown up' book I had read. I instantly fell in love with it. I think the love of these books has as much to do with happy memories as the books themselves:) I read them both again at uni and still enjoyed them though.

I love Northanger Abbey (actually the only Austen novel I do ???), but never read any Radcliffe. Might give it a go though.

I love this story and I like to Watch movies about it but it has been impossible for me to read it. I don't know it's the fault is about the translate in "old" style french but it was to hard to understand the story.

Jane eyre is hands down my favourite book. Otherhalf bought me a gorgeous copy for my birthday last year.

I read Jane Eyre the first time as a teenager and it really stuck with me. I have read it numerous times since then and have seen several movie adaptations of it.

I don't understand why there is such a draw to rewriting the classics with bizarre plot twists...Like Pride and Prejudice and Zombies. Just not my cup of tea, I guess.
